Sacrifice is the second demo from Italian death metal project Congenital Deformity, delivering a filthy, swampy brand of old-school death metal steeped in the grotesque atmosphere of the early underground scene. Across four tracks, the band combines muddy, downtuned guitar riffs, guttural vocals, primitive rhythmic passages and occasional bursts of frantic aggression, drawing comparisons to Rottrevore, Funebrarum and Deteriorot. The songwriting balances crushing mid-paced grooves with faster, more savage passages, while the raw, murky production reinforces its rotten and unapologetically underground character. Tracks like "Chainsaw Surgery," "Sacrifice" and "Funeral Torments" showcase the band's knack for memorable riffs and uncompromising brutality. A short but effective dose of putrid death metal that should appeal to fans of filthy American-style old-school death metal.
