Through the Cervix of Hawaah is a nightmarish exercise in cavernous, blackened death metal that pushes conventional songwriting into a chaotic and suffocating abyss. Antediluvian combine dissonant, twisting guitar riffs, murky bass lines, unpredictable drumming and tortured, inhuman vocals to create an atmosphere of overwhelming darkness and occult malevolence. Drawing comparisons to Portal, Grave Miasma and Mitochondrion, the album shifts between frenzied blast-beat assaults, bizarre rhythmic passages and slow, oppressive doom-laden sections. Beneath its seemingly impenetrable wall of noise lies surprisingly intricate musicianship, with unconventional riff structures and unsettling atmospheric passages adding depth to the madness. Raw, primitive and genuinely unsettling, this is an uncompromising exploration of extreme death metal that rewards repeated listens and stands out for its uniquely sinister atmosphere.
